Azerbaijan Youth Euro-Atlantic Organization with the support of “Qafqaz” University has organized first time ever in Azerbaijan NATO Simulation game in February 23, 2008. The topic of the simulation game was one of the actual issues of international politics and namely “Energy security in today’s international system”. Fifteen young people from different Universities of Azerbaijan took part in the simulation and played the role of various states as well as international organizations.
Before the simulation students had to research background information in three areas: In the first place, the participants had to get some information on NATO, what it is and how it works. Background information on the countries and international organizations chosen by participants had to be researched as well. Last but not least a broad investigation had to be done on the topic of the simulation, Energy security and its challenges.
The participants of the first NATO Simulation in Azerbaijan have been awarded with the certificates.
