The president of Azerbaijan Youth Euro Atlantic Organization Mr. Ziya Gaziyev has participated in DAYS 2007 (Danish Atlantic Youth Seminar) devoted to the current situation in the Caucasus, which was organized by the Danish Atlantic Treaty Association. The seminar was taking place at the air base of Aalborg in the Northern part of Denmark from the 4th – 10th of July 2007.
During the seminar there have been held lectures and discussions on the subject by experts and practitioners. We will focus on topics such as energy security, ethnic, regional and international conflicts of interest and examine the roles and mandates of international organizations, in particular the United Nations, NATO and the European Union. Furthermore, the participants will put theory into practice through a simulation game focusing on the Caucasus area. The simulation game is aimed at enhancing skills in international negotiation and conflict management.
