The NISA - “NATO International School Azerbaijan 2005” was an international project organised by Azerbaijan Youth Euro-Atlantic Organization (AGAAT) with a sponsorship of NATO Public Diplomacy Division and with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic.
By proposing to organize a NATO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AZERBAIJAN (NISA), AYEAO brought together 40 students, young researchers and government officers, journalists and other youth from different NATO, Partner, MD and broader Middle East countries (Gulf Cooperation Council) interested in NATO and Euro-Atlantic security issues so that to ensure an excellent venue for discussions and exchange of views on the various subjects related to the regions located around 3 Seas- Caspian, Black and Mediterranean, which NATO puts special emphasis on today.
Main Aims
- To enhance the knowledge of youth about Security issues of Caspian, Black and Mediterranean sea regions: problems and perspectives
- To instigate discussion on security issues of the regions located around 3 seas
- To identify the role of Youth in the future of NATO and Euro-Atlantic security area
- To establish a dialogue between youth of Azerbaijan and those of other Allied and Partner nations
- To consolidate cooperation between young people at the international level and actively involving youth in this process.

- Eastern side of the Caspian Sea- Central Asia and Afghanistan
Central Asia region on NATO’s security agenda; Main security problems of the region
The impact of the NATO’s Istanbul Summit decision on shifting the focus towards CA on the region;
NATO operations in Afghanistan and Partner contributions to these operations;
Future perspectives of the region.
- Western side of the Caspian Sea- South Caucasus
Security problems of the region and analyzing the possible ways of their solution;
Partnership perspectives of the SC
IPAP/PAP-DIB mechanism and possible role for them to play in realizing the security sector reforms in SC
How materialized renewal and refocusing document is in terms of hard security?
